WHAT IS ENQUIRY??

An inquiri is any process that has the aim of augmenting knowledge, resolving doubt or solving a problem. A theory of inquiry is an account of the various types of inquiry and a treatment of the ways that each type of inquiry achieves it's aim. There is four type of question :

• Yes / No Question
• Tag Question
• WH Question
• Direct / Indirect Question

Example of Yes/No Question is...

1. Does he like to eat durian?
2. Did they go to swimming pool?
3. Are they visiting Paris?
4. Has Nancy has been working all the night long?

Example of Tag Question is..

1. You were late,weren't you?
2. He can drive,can't he?
3. She writes good poem,doesn't she?
4. He isn't an athlete,is he?

Example of WH Question is...

1. Where are you going tomorrow?
2. Who has broken this vase?
3. What did the girl watch?
4. How do you feel today?

Example of Direct/Indirect Question is...

1. Direct    : Where is market strait?           
2. Indirect  : Could you tell me where is Market Strait?
3. Direct    : What time does the bank open?
4. Indirect  : Do you know what time the bank opens?
